Healthy Weight Calculator
Enter a height. The page shows the adult weights that map to WHO BMI 18.5 and 24.9. That is a population band, not a personal target.
How it works
Rearranging BMI = kg / m² gives kg = BMI × m². The lower bound uses 18.5; the upper bound uses 24.9. Height is converted to metres. The band does not know muscle mass or medical history.
Devine “ideal weight” is a different, single-number equation.
Formula
min = 18.5 × height_m² max = 24.9 × height_m²
Worked examples
175 cm
175 cm → about 56.7–76.3 kg
Useful notes
- Adult WHO cut-offs only. Not medical advice.
FAQ
- How is healthy weight calculated here?
It is the weight range whose BMI is 18.5 to 24.9 at your height.
- Why is this a range, not one number?
WHO published a band, not a single ideal kilogram.
- Is this different from ideal weight?
Yes. Ideal weight on this site is Devine’s single formula. Healthy weight is the BMI band.
