How it works
Multiplying pounds by 0.45359237 gives kilograms exactly, because that is how the international pound is defined. The reverse of “kg to lbs” is therefore a multiply, not a divide. A common body-weight example: 150 lb × 0.45359237 = 68.0388555 kg.
