How it works

Fuel uses the same identity as the Fuel Cost calculator: litres = (km ÷ 100) × L/100 km, fuel cost = litres × price. Tolls and parking are added as extra cash amounts (leave blank for none). The total is fuel plus extras. Hotels, food and wear are not included. This is still km and L/100 km, not miles and MPG.

Formula

Litres = (distance km ÷ 100) × L/100 km
Fuel cost = litres × price per litre
Extras = tolls + parking
Total = fuel cost + extras

Worked examples

100 km, 8 L/100 km, 1.50 / L, tolls 10, parking 5 → 8 L, fuel 12, extras 15, total 27
100 km, 8 L/100 km, 1.50 / L → total 12

Tolls and parking are optional. Blank is treated as 0.

FAQ

How is this different from the fuel cost calculator?: Fuel math is the same. This page also adds optional tolls and parking into one total.
Can I add hotels?: Not as a labelled field. You can put other cash in tolls or parking if you want a rougher grand total.
Does this use MPG?: No. Convert MPG to L/100 km first if your handbook is in miles per gallon.
